On Thursday, February 1, mark sponsored our new spokesperson Lauren Conrad’s 21st birthday party at one of LA’s hottest nightclubs, Area. The night began with a pre-party prep session for Lauren, and three of her friends, with mark Makeup Artist Natalie Miller. In Touch magazine was also there for an exclusive interview and access, and devoted a full page in the February 19th issue to the party. Check out Lauren wearing the Bejeweled ring and doing a touch-up in the limo on the way to the party. And the media did not stop there…the red carpet was lined with reporters from People, OK, US Weekly, Star and Life & Style, and Lauren stopped and conducted interviews with all of them. Celebrities, including Lauren’s co-stars from The Hills, Paris Hilton, Frankie Muniz and even Leonardo DiCaprio was rumored to have attended the party. The mark presence in front of the club was great – with gobo lights and a mark step-and-repeat banner – the paparazzi cameras everywhere! The inside festivities began with a cake-cutting and gift presentation to Lauren on behalf of mark. Ellen Abramowitz, Director of Strategic Alliances unveiled our mock magalog featuring Lauren on the cover and announced how excited we are to welcome her to the mark family. Guests were then invited to party and encouraged to visit the mark Hook Up Bar. At the end of the evening, each received a mark gift bag filled with the latest product.
